We see children with a wide variety of orthopaedic conditions, such as joint pain
and muscle weakness. We also work with children who need therapy following a trauma
such as a fracture.
The therapists at PPTS will fully assess the child’s condition and will based on
those findings create an exercise prescription. The therapist may refer the child
to other health care providers such as an orthotist if bracing is needed.
Interventions for orthopaedic conditions may include range of motion exercises, strength
exercises and movement re-education. At times the use of technologies such as EMG
Biofeedback or neuromuscular electrical stimulation may be used to aide progress.
